Mallory ~18 weeks~

Breastfeeding:  Still going fine  I nursed uncovered at the museum last weekend.  I don't have a problem when other women do it, and I have done it before, but generally I don't because I'm just not super comfortable with it.

Sleep:  She doesn't settle down for the night sometimes until 10 pm and then is up by 7 am.  Today was 6 am.  I am not a fan of the  6 am wakeup call.
6 am!
She also doesn't nap, as I mention every week.  There have been a few desperate car naps.

Misc.  She had her four month checkup yesterday.  So she's cranky today.  She's almost 24 inches, and just over 14lbs.  She has a 98% head.  No surprise there though.

I need to go shopping for clothes for her.  Because Eleanor was in the 3-6 month size in winter time I have a limited amount of clothes that actually will work for 3-6 month summer.  It'd just stick her in onesies if I could but I don't even have many short sleeved ones.  I knew this would eventually be a problem with seasons.

She's discovered her toes and loves to put them in her mouth.

Mallory 4 Months

Already 1/3 of the way to a year.  I'm excited for the little fun person she's becoming, but at the same time not wishing the time away.  I don't feel like I have to cherish every single moment, and when she's non stop crying I for sure don't cherish that moment, but still, those moments are flying by.

She's rolling over now - not consistently - but has gone back to belly several times in the last week and a half.

Lots of talking and smiling here.

She loves to suck on her hands, and is grabbing and holding onto toys more.

Still is a very poor napper.  Cat naps in the car or while nursing are usually the best I get, but she is still doing okay at night so there is that, although still frustrating because I can't spend the time I need to with Eleanor.

I've been super lax about having her crib nap so hoping I don't regret that choice.

She has her checkup on Thursday so I'm not sure about stats, but I'm guessing her to be in the 13/14lb range based on a quick check the other day at home, and around 24 inches.

I've put most of the 3 month pajamas away & some of the 3 month pants.  3 month onesies are usually still okay.  Still in the size 2 diapers, and fitting a little better into some of the cloth, which I'm happy with because cloth are cute and save money.

She went into nursery at church for the first time, visited the zoo for the first time, went to the public museum for the first time and visited the cottage at Sand Lake for the first time as well.

4 month favorites

Now that Eleanor is getting bigger and more into toys I've been pulling some of them out.  As a result this month's favorites edition focuses on toys.

1) Fisher-Price Crawl Along Snail From the very first time we opened this she loved it.  It is great for tummy time because she can look in the mirror and if she hits at it it will light up and play music.
Even my 10 month old nephew was loving this toy when he was over recently. I actually am thinking about getting it for his first birthday.

2) Noggin Stik  I actually won this toy before she was born.  My nephew played with it a few months ago, but Eleanor is just been into it the last week or two.  I know it's expensive for what it is, but she really likes it and I'd say it's worth it.  She can hold onto it, and when she shakes it really hard it lights up and changes colors. Again this is another toy my nephew loved.

3) Infantino Go Bananas Rattle She actually just got this earlier this week from the kids I used to nanny for, but she has played with it a lot.  I don't know if it's the fact that it's easy to hold onto (she usually just holds one loop, but has done both), or that it makes noise, but it's cute.  I am kind of nervous she's going to hit herself with the shaking, because she has come close.
