Mallory ~18 weeks~

Breastfeeding:  Still going fine  I nursed uncovered at the museum last weekend.  I don't have a problem when other women do it, and I have done it before, but generally I don't because I'm just not super comfortable with it.

Sleep:  She doesn't settle down for the night sometimes until 10 pm and then is up by 7 am.  Today was 6 am.  I am not a fan of the  6 am wakeup call.
6 am!
She also doesn't nap, as I mention every week.  There have been a few desperate car naps.

Misc.  She had her four month checkup yesterday.  So she's cranky today.  She's almost 24 inches, and just over 14lbs.  She has a 98% head.  No surprise there though.

I need to go shopping for clothes for her.  Because Eleanor was in the 3-6 month size in winter time I have a limited amount of clothes that actually will work for 3-6 month summer.  It'd just stick her in onesies if I could but I don't even have many short sleeved ones.  I knew this would eventually be a problem with seasons.

She's discovered her toes and loves to put them in her mouth.

Mallory 4 Months

Already 1/3 of the way to a year.  I'm excited for the little fun person she's becoming, but at the same time not wishing the time away.  I don't feel like I have to cherish every single moment, and when she's non stop crying I for sure don't cherish that moment, but still, those moments are flying by.

She's rolling over now - not consistently - but has gone back to belly several times in the last week and a half.

Lots of talking and smiling here.

She loves to suck on her hands, and is grabbing and holding onto toys more.

Still is a very poor napper.  Cat naps in the car or while nursing are usually the best I get, but she is still doing okay at night so there is that, although still frustrating because I can't spend the time I need to with Eleanor.

I've been super lax about having her crib nap so hoping I don't regret that choice.

She has her checkup on Thursday so I'm not sure about stats, but I'm guessing her to be in the 13/14lb range based on a quick check the other day at home, and around 24 inches.

I've put most of the 3 month pajamas away & some of the 3 month pants.  3 month onesies are usually still okay.  Still in the size 2 diapers, and fitting a little better into some of the cloth, which I'm happy with because cloth are cute and save money.

She went into nursery at church for the first time, visited the zoo for the first time, went to the public museum for the first time and visited the cottage at Sand Lake for the first time as well.

17 Week Update ~Mallory~

I totally forgot to finish this post yesterday.  I forgot to take her picture until after she had fallen asleep.  Ooops!  I thought about it earlier in the day and then got distracted and didn't remember.

Breastfeeding:
Lately she's been fidgeting while nursing, likely because she's getting distracted, and she'll pull back while still latched on and that's a little

Sleep:
Monday she rocked the naps, but Tuesday she did not so maybe she was just super tired from the weekend.

Tuesday she was up at 5:45.  I hadn't gone to bed until after midnight the night before (thank you Eleanor) and seriously struggled.  My awesome mom came over on her work break and I napped for a half an hour or so.  Not much but enough to give me a little boost.

Wednesday she slept in until like 7:30, every other day she's been up around 6:30.

Misc.
She rolled over from back to belly a few times.  It took a few days and a few times before I saw her do it, but she did it.  (Eleanor was about six months before she did back to belly; although she went belly to back at 3 months)

The shrieking!  Girl gets mad she can't roll, or grab a toy and yells.

But she also 'talks' and coos.  I'm pretty sure she's said 'hi' a few times back to me. lol.

When she wakes up she is all smiles and it's so precious.

16 weeks: Mallory

Sleeping:
Still not a fan of napping.  I don't know how she doesn't need to sleep as much.  Or actually she does but she hardcore fights it. Although this last week there were like 2 days where she took great naps that lasted like 2-3 hours. Otherwise it's a nursing nap or a car nap (which stops as soon as the car does).  Yesterday we walked to the gas station and she slept on the way there which I anticiapted.

Breastfeeding:
Still going well.  I thought I was heading toward a clog duct yesterday but I pumped the other side and nursed her on the clogged side and I took care of it.  It was morning when I pumped, which is generally when I'd get the most, but I got 5 oz in 20 minutes which is good.  I don't often pump since I don't need to, so I probably only have 40 oz saved total, but that's enough for now.

Misc:
She's strying to roll over I think.  She'll roll onto side(when she's on her back) and act like she's trying to get all the way over.

I also walked out of the room yesterday and came back to find her feet were facing a different direction.  She had scooted her self a quarter turn.

She's putting toys/blankets in her mouth when she can and drooling all over my shoulders.  Like my shoulders are always wet.  Or drooling on my arms.  I don't love it, but I just wipe it off.  Rob hates it.  He hates that feeling so much. lol.

She also keeps trying to sit forward.  She's going to have some strong ab muscles.   See picture right below.

We had Mallory's baby dedication on Mother's day.

15 weeks ~Mallory~

Breastfeeding
I'm finding that she doesn't love the football hold as much as she loves the cross cradle hold.

Sleep:
Naps have been tough.  She fights them hard, but still sleeps okay at night. I don't want to get into the habit of nursing to sleep, but I have been.   Although the other day I put her in the rock n play and walked out of the room and she put herself to sleep.

Misc.
She's actually been pretty fussy in the evenings again.
She's starting to hold toys.
We got a new stroller this week and took it out a few times.  I still need to adjust the straps but both girls like it and I love getting out and having fresh air!

I didn't know she was giving the finger until after I took it.  Still cute though!
