WaterWipes (#waterwipes #ic #ad)

This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

We use baby wipes for lots of things, from the obvious use with diaper changes, but also for cleaning up faces & hands after meals and even paint messes when Eleanor does art projects.

Cleaning her duck with WaterWipes

So it's safe to say we go through a lot.  I do my best to be aware of the ingredients in them, but sometimes I just buy the cheapest or what is the most convenient (such as the prepackaged with the flip lids as opposed to the big bags of them).

WaterWipes are 99.9% water and .1% grapefruit seed extract; so no chemicals used. They are a European brand and although I've been seeing them around the blogging world for a little while now, I haven't had the chance to try them.   I didn't even realize that my local Meijer store even carried them.

Because they are chemical free and thus have no preservatives they are good for up to 15 months unopened and 1 month opened.

Something that I haven't seen before with wipes if that WaterWipes are not connected like other brands.  This is so they can remain sterile and as a result they also don't recommend transferring to another container.

With another baby coming soon (3ish months is soon right?), I know we are about to go through way more than we already do.  I want to do my best do look for products that are better than what we use now.  WaterWipes are a better choice in wipes.

Although they are more expensive than other wipes, and I am usually a cheapest product wins kind of girl, somethings are worth the extra amount.  Especially when it comes to something that comes in contact with that precious baby skin.  Other wipes would work fine and I wouldn't say I'd feel guilty using them, but using WaterWipes is something I definitely feel better about.

Round 2: 26 weeks

How far along:  26 weeks!  So depending on when you consider 3rd trimester to start I'm either already in there or will be by the end of this week.

Baby Size:

Weight:   I'm now up 20 lbs (137 total)

Symptoms:

  • Restless legs
  • Sciatic nerve pain (which is slightly better but only because I'm lazy now)

Maternity Clothes:  Probably 80%

Sleep:  Usually 2  hour stretches when I'm lucky.  Restless legs make it really tough sometimes.

Cravings/Food Aversions:  Fruit Loops are my jam lately, and I throw in a some mini marshmallows and it's all good!

Belly Button: I'm going to say out.

Rings on or off: On

Gender:   Logically I say boy, but my gut says girl.  My gut doesn't scream girl like it did with Eleanor, but I do think girl more I suppose.

Name:  Boy name has been set for years, and I thought we had decided on a girl name but Rob decided he didn't love it the other day.  He'd still use it but doesn't love it.  I've suggested at least 100 names and he's said no to every.single.one.

Movement:  The baby will go through long periods of inactivity and I naturally get worried.  And then it starts flip flopping and I feel much better.

Stretch Marks:   I don't think I have any new ones, but still have ones from Eleanor.

Best moment:  When the baby moves because then I don't get all nervous.

Looking forward to:  Finding out who this little baby is.

Nervous about:  Breastfeeding a newborn.  I mean I know I did it already and we got through those first few weeks and made it 22 months, but I can't remember how or what to do. LOL!

What I miss:  Not being so stressed out about if the baby is okay or not.

Labor signs:  Nope

Appointments:  November 5

Misc.  I think I'm going to do the glucose test Friday.  I'm nervous about it because last time I felt really sick and had hot flashes and got dizzy.  I'm going to have my dad babysit Eleanor because I can't imagine having to bring her and hope she doesn't run around the office and be all crazy while I'm feeling awful (but really she's a pretty good girl thankfully!)  Still I'd rather not worry about it.

Round 2: 25 weeks

How far along:  25 weeks!

Baby Size:

Weight:  Thanks to my daily can of soda and my need for chocolate, I'm now up 18 lbs. I could also blame sciatic nerve pain for my laziness and thus the weight gain.

Symptoms:
Rob recently said he thought my hips were getting bigger.  I noticed that my underwear was getting tight the day before that and figured my hips were getting bigger

Also restless legs, sciatic nerve pain (which is slightly better but only because I'm lazy now)

Maternity Clothes:  Yes

Sleep:  Usually 2 1/2 hour stretches

Cravings/Food Aversions:  I've been really trying to cut back on the snacking on the junk and I'm hungry more often now.

I also want to eat fruit loops every single day.

Belly Button: It's kind of in between

Rings on or off: On

Gender:  I think boy lately.  Because the friends due around me are having boys and my current birth month has more girls but if all the team green's were boys it would be pretty equal.  But then like I said before I thought I saw the lack of boy parts on the ultrasound.  So now real gut feelings, just kind of logic.

Name:  We have the boy name, but Rob told me last night he's not sold on the girl name.  We have another one that we are both okay with.  I have so many I love but he doesn't.  Girl names are tough this time around.

Movement: Yep.  Especially or mostly when I'm sitting down or laying down.  I'm pretty sure baby had hiccups recently as well.

Pretty sure the baby was doing somersaults as well.  It was a different kind of movement than I'd felt before - like flips or something.

Stretch Marks:   The ones around my belly are darkening.

Best moment:  Last week baby was moving a little so I had lifted up my shirt.  Eleanor was snacking on veggie straws and she tried to share with the baby by sticking it in my belly button.

Finally having Rob feel the baby.

Looking forward to:  Finishing Eleanor's room so she can eventually moving in to it.

Nervous about:  Eleanor handling the transition and not being the only child anymore.  I'm nervous about the life change, but I can be logically and think it through.  At almost 2 1/2 she can't process it as well.

What I miss:  Walking without pain.

Labor signs:  Nope

Appointments:  November 5

Round 2: 24 Weeks

How far along:  24 weeks

Baby Size:   A pack of oreos, a can of wd-40 or a cantaloupe.

Weight:  Up about 17 lbs

Symptoms:

  • Wild dreams
  • Emotions off the chart
  • Sciatic nerve pain
  • So forgetful
  • Clumsy

Maternity Clothes:  Yes.  Most of my tops are maternity and except for sweatpants and leggings its all maternity bottoms.

Sleep:  Up every 2 hours, give or take.  It's been horrible lately because Eleanor has been sick.

Cravings/Food Aversions:  Why do I want all the junk food?

Belly Button:  It's quite shallow.  It will be out in the next few weeks or month I'm sure.

Rings on or off: On

Gender:  This week I'm saying boy.  Really though I'm finding the surprise to be exciting.

Name:  Boy yes, girl probably.  I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Eleanor's name.  Even strangers have told me they love it.  I'm putting pressure on myself to name another girl like that.

Movement:  Lots more, especially when I'm laying down at night.  I felt outside movement for the first time over the weekend.

Stretch Marks: Yes and they are getting darker.

Best moment: Viability week!

Looking forward to:   Rob and Eleanor feeling the baby move.

Nervous about:  Having 2 small children in public.  I had to take Eleanor to the doctor yesterday because she's had a high fever for days and I had to bring the little one I watch (12 months).  So I was scrambing with two small children to get there, they were waaay behind and it was lunchtime/naptime so that played into it but still.  I was so stressed out because Eleanor was freaking out on the doctor and I also have another child there.

What I miss:  Wearing Eleanor comfortably.  I've had her up on my back lately because of her being so cranky but it's not comfortable for long periods of time.

Labor signs: Nope

Appointments:  November 5th I think

Eleanor's 2 Year Update

Yeah-My sweet girl is 2 years old.

She knows basic shapes (heart, star, circle, oval, triangle, rectangle, square).  She can sing the abc's but can only recognize one or two letters.  She can sometimes count up to 14, but more often than not misses or skips numbers,

She sleeps all night most nights and falls asleep between 8:45/9 and wakes up between 7:15/7:30 (usually anyway).  She takes about a 2 hour nap most days.

She loves to play with her muslin aden+anais blankets, her dolls and loves Daniel Tiger.

Her favorite foods are raspberries, cheese, and fruit snacks. Also  peanut butter, applesauce pouches, chips and salsa, green beans and carrots.

Still rear facing in the car and no plans to change that.

She has no interest in potty training, and went once on the toilet for my mom this summer but not since although she will sit on it (she get's an animal cracker if she sits on it) occasionally.  I kind of love her cloth diapers so I'm sad that a day will come she won't use them.  When she's in disposable she wears size 4.

Although she can wear 18 month tops usually they are 2t/24 month (although they are sometimes a little big).  Pants are generally 2t/24 month.  A few 18 month fit, but they are usually short (in part because of cloth diapers).  Her pajamas are now the 2t/24 month although I think there are a few 18 month size left in the drawer (footie pajamas-2 piece would fit).

She loves to sing and sings all the time.  Her favorite songs to sing are 'baa baa black sheep,'  'b-i-n-g-o' the 'abc's',

She's getting a little sass on her and becoming her own person. But sometimes she will show me she has the sweetest heart and if I'm sad she will say "its okay mommy"

She is so silly.  She makes up her own songs "abcdefg now I know my belly button" or "old mcdonald had a noodle"

At her checkup last week she was in the 20% for height and weight.

Eleanor's 2nd Birthday

October 7th my sweet child turned two.   Rob and I both took the day off of work to make it extra special.

I woke up to her crying and when I looked at my phone it said 6:40.  Eleanor was born at 6:39 so I'm pretty confident in saying she woke up at her exact birth time.  Crazy!

Then we went and got donuts from the local bakery for breakfast and we had donuts, sausage and toast for breakfast.

After that my dad stopped by with another donut for her not knowing we had already gotten her one.

Rob fell asleep and I waited around for him to wake up so we could go somewhere but then he wasn't feeling that well so I just took her here by myself.  I did let her have one present (books) while we waited.

I actually took her last year but we just kind of checked out the animals, the corn pit and had a donut.  And minus the donut, we did the same this year.  I was going to take her on the cow train thing but it wasn't running yet.  She did like to look at the animals but wouldn't get up close with them, and she really had a blast in the corn pit area.

Then it was back home for lunch and a nap.
After that we all headed to my doctor's appointment (I scheduled it this day knowing I would be off work and it would just be easier)

Since we were near the kids museum and it had been a few months since we'd been there we headed there.  When we walked in the staff up front started singing happy birthday to her (because of her shirt).  She wasn't expecting that (neither was I) and tried to hid in a corner for a moment, but she got a special bracelet so it was good after that.

Then we went to Golden Corral for dinner.  We hadn't been there in like 4 or 5 years, but I figured I could find something for her, and myself since pregnancy makes me pickier.

Finally back home for presents.

Happy 2nd Birthday Eleanor!
